Banned animals as pets in Sri Lanka

Most of the people like to keep animals as pets. But every creature could not keep as pets because some are prohibited to keep yourselves as pets by the government.

Birds restricted to Sri Lanka include the Chestnut-backed Owlet, the Serendib Scops Owl, the Sri Lankan Wood-pigeon , the Sri Lanka Hanging-parrot, the Layard’s Parakeet, the Sri Lankan Grey Hornbill, the Crimson-backed Flameback, the Yellow-fronted Barbet. Endemic genera include the Red-faced Malkoha and the Sri Lankan Bush-warbler.
